In October, it's time to prepare for the most 'spirited' celebration of all: Halloween! Barefoot Landing is at the 'dead center' of activities this October with days and nights full of Fall shopping, dining and Halloween fun at Ghosts and Legends Theatre as its ghosts host 31 days of shows and ghost walks and seances and ghost book authors and trick or treating!  The 'Incredible Pumpkin Patch!' September 1st through October 31st. Grinning Gourds Return to Barefoot Landing! Ghosts and Legends Theatre announces the 2007 opening of their 'Incredible Pumpkin Patch' with the addition of a new interactive pumpkin that is full of surprises! Enjoy over 500 lit jack-o-lanterns in this glowing archway of smiles every night from September 1st through Halloween. This is a spectacular sight, so be sure to bring your cameras! Bales of hay, corn stalks, music, fog and festive lighting complete this temporary attraction, which has grown steadily as a family favorite for the past several years. The popular 'Pumpkin King' is back, looming over the display with outstretch arms. New this year is a massive 18 foot overhead bridge laden with grinning gourds and colorful fall leaves. There's also a specially designed area where you can pose your loved ones for photographs. With more jack-o-lanterns in one place than you've ever seen before, it is sure to put a smile upon your own face. Each pumpkin is electrically illuminated and is made from a durable, life-like synthetic material that allows them to be on display for such a long time. But don't wait! The Incredible Pumpkin Patch will disappear after Halloween, and since each unique pumpkin is for sale, shop early to adopt your favorite one and take the holiday cheer home with you! Lights on from 7pm-9pm nightly, and there is no charge to view or photograph this special autumn attraction, found only at Barefoot Landing. Come celebrate Halloween at the spookiest place on the Grand Strand with Ghosts and Legends Theatre located at Barefoot Landing! Barefoot Bob, the Jolly Oli and other pirate friends will apply a free tattoo fer ya! And it won't cost you a thin shilling! So if you can afford it, come around on most evenings in June and July and get a tattoo! You'll find us right in front of the theatre beside the wagon cart. As Barefoot Bob says, You're never too young, you're never too old, and you're never too POOR for a free tattoo!  Special Guest Author Book Signings! Author Book Signing Event! Elizabeth Huntsinger Wolf Ghosts and Legends Theatre Saturday, October 20 2pm-4pm Returning for her fifth year to Ghosts and Legends Theatre, Elizabeth Huntsinger Wolf will make an exclusive appearance to personally autograph her spooky books for readers. Don't miss this chance to speak with this renowned author and discuss the ghostly tales found in her works. Elizabeth Huntsinger Wolf is the author of Ghosts of Georgetown and More Ghosts of Georgetown and her latest book, Georgetown Mysteries and Legends. She works for Georgetown County's SC First Steps program as a storyteller to enhance literature for preschoolers. She and her husband are licensed tour guides for "Ghosts of Georgetown Lantern Tours." All three books will be available for purchase at the Ghosts and Legends gift shop. A 10% discount will be given to guests who also attend the Ghost Show inside the theatre (performed every half hour.) Previous Guest Author Book Signings! Periodically, a renowned author will make an exclusive appearance to personally autograph their spooky books for readers.
